Personal Project
A redesign of Nan's Thai and Malaysian cafe menu. It's a small, family-owned cafe, so it holds a cosy, casual atmosphere, which is expressed through the warm orange colour.
The main inspiration was the interior of the cafe. It contained many mismatched picture frames exhibiting Thai and Malaysian iconography, traditional patterned tiles, and randomly placed fairy lights. Hence, the haphazard placement of images throughout the menu layout is a direct reference and reflection to the cafe's decoration. The choice of a sans-serif font is used for clear legibility and brings a modern edge to the overall composition.
