A vector-based illustration design for the front cover of Flame Magazine, a culture supplement found in the middle of the University of Leeds student newspaper, The Gryphon.
Straying away from traditional Christmas colours such as red, green and white, this design takes on a more playful and contemporary approach in visualising various aspects of this warm December celebration. In addition, the warmer colours allude to the magazine's name.
Various Christmas symbols, such as hot chocolate, mittens, and gifts, are used to capture the season. The grainy and striped textures provide an added level of visual interest and dimensionality.
